PJ ZAKAS

In the spring of 1999, Peter Zakas Jr. got his first job scooping ice cream in a parlor designed by his father and late uncle. Over the next decade, PJ had a hand in opening three different restaurants throughout the metro-Atlanta area, as part of their Front of the House team.

In August 2009, PJ first began working for the family business out of their Hollywood, Florida office, as a junior designer. There, he reside with his late uncle, Spiros Zakas, as he began understanding the craft of designing restaurants. Nights were filled with overseeing a marketing & promotional team for three of Fort Lauderdale's River Front bars.

Returning to Atlanta in 2010, PJ brought with him knowledge under the leadership of  Silvia Milic who continues to run ZSD's Coral Springs location.

With an education from Gwinnett Technical College and a NCIDQ certification solidifying his national recognition, PJ is currently seeking licensing in Georgia and surrounding states.

Today, PJ Zakas furthers his grasp on the design world by instructing at Gwinnett Technical College, in Sugarloaf, GA. He teaches Fundamentals of AutoCAD where he educates his students on the basics of commercial design through drafting and plan documentation.
